PATRICK GORMAN
Chief Technology Officer
As Ericsson Federal’s Chief Technology Officer, Patrick leads the strategic direction that aligns the company’s technical capabilities with commercial innovations to achieve public sector goals and contract deliverables.
Most recently, Patrick served as an executive vice president with Booz Allen Hamilton. There he led the firm’s 5G and cyber practices, while also leading Dark Labs, the firm’s cyber incubator, and Bright Labs, the firm’s digital incubator.
Patrick previously led the strategy and product teams at CyberGRX, a cyber third-party risk management company. Before that, he was Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Bridgewater Associates, where he ran cyber, physical, and personnel security for the world’s largest hedge fund. Previously, Patrick was the Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, where he held global responsibility for cybersecurity policy, cyber technology and controls, compliance management, and security operations.
His federal service spans intelligence, cybersecurity, defense, and homeland security as he served as Assistant Director of National Intelligence and Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Intelligence Community, helping establish the Transportation Security Administration following September 11. Additionally, he served more than a decade in the U.S. Air Force in signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and psychological operations.
Patrick’s impressive educational achievements include degrees in government and economics from the University of Maryland; a Master of Arts in Russian and Eastern European Studies from the George Washington University; and the executive program in Business Strategy at Harvard Business School. Patrick also is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute (Russian and Serbo-Croatian) and sits on numerous boards of firms focused on cybersecurity, AI, and privacy.
